First Arts Festival of Kerala Government Veterinary Officers' Association Held in Shornoor
The first arts festival of the Kerala Government Veterinary Officers' Association (KGVOA), named "Niharika," was successfully conducted at Hotel Nila Regency on September 21, 2024. The event was inaugurated by the General Secretary, Dr. Kuriakose Mathew T., with the State Vice-President (Central Zone), Dr. Syed Aboobacker Sidhique, presiding over the meeting.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Pradeep Jacob, the district president of Palakkad. Felicitations were extended by Dr. Biju B., Dr. Shameem A., State Joint Secretary (NZ), and Dr. Sivadas K. T., State Joint Secretary (CZ). The vote of thanks was given by the General Convenor, Dr. Lekha Gregorious.
The fest featured a variety of competitions, including short story , poem, single semi-classical dance for ladies, single cinematic dance for gents, group cinematic dance, group medley, single light music for both ladies and gents, and skit. Ernakulam District emerged as the overall champion, while Kozhikode District secured the first runner-up position. Dr. Fidha Latheef of Malappuram was honored as Kalathilakam, and Dr. Krishnasooraj T. of Kozhikode was named Kalaprathibha. Dr. Amal Sasi won the poster designing competition held prior to the main event.
The valedictory function was inaugurated by renowned writer Ashtamoorthi K. V., with Dr. Rajan Chungath, writer and former Joint Director, serving as the chief guest.It was presided over by General Secretary Dr. Kuriakose Mathew T. Dr. Rajesh P., Chairman of Niharika KGVOA Cultural Fest, welcomed the gathering. The function was A souvenir was released in connection with the function.
